Tuesday 12th June 10.45-13.30: Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
This is the first of two conferences for S4 school students considering the HN route at college and we are looking for Conference Helpers!
The meeting time is 9.15 at the LEAPS office and you will be back around 14.00.
This may be of particular interest to those of you who have gone through the HN>uni route, but this is open to anyone who would like to participate.
Pupils who come along will attend short presentations by speakers and two workshops. It’s designed to enthuse and inform the pupils about HN options at local colleges as well as the college to university route. Lunch and travel to the event will be provided!
Your role as a volunteer could involve one or more of the following activities:
- help college staff set up stands/equipment etc.
- assist staff with the setting up of the venue
- assist staff with the welcoming and registration of students and teachers
- help facilitate a workshop focusing on the HN ‘student experience’
- mingle and chat informally with pupils as they arrive and during break when there will be an information fair
