This event is open to all volunteers – in fact the more volunteer we get from different universities the better!
Similar to our S6 Conference this is a very well attended conference style event particularly targeted at S5 pupils. Every year around 200-250 students come along and listen to workshops and hear speakers talk on topics such as ‘how to get started with making a university or college application’, ‘how to get the work experience you need’ and ‘how to make your application look good in a competitive environment’.
Your role at the event may involve any of the following;
a) Meet, greet and register arriving students
b) Mingle with students at break and share your experiences of uni/subjects
c) Help out in one of the many workshops
d) Give out e-number laden sweets in abundance (a regular feature at LEAPS events!!!)

This is a fun one and the pupils come during the February holidays so we get the really keen ones who are eager to find out all about university and student life.
