S6 Getting by on a Student Budget Workshop
Eyemouth High School, Scottish Borders
If you would like to sign up for this workshop please email me on claire.aitchison@ed.ac.uk. The meeting time is 9.00 at the LEAPS office and you will be back around 1.30 (ish). We would be happy to pick volunteers up en route at QMU – please just let me know when you email me to sign up.
If you can't make it on this date we are also going back to the Eyemouth the next day (we can't get enough of the place!!!) to deliver the S5 workshop so if this date doesn't suit maybe you could make it on Tuesday 18th Jan.
For a summary of the S5 workshop please see below;For the S5 workshop you will be working with a small group of S5 pupils (15-16 year olds). The pupils have to find out as much as they can about your typical week at university and plot your activities on a weekly planner. They also calculate how many hours you spend on each activity per week. For this exercise it is best if you can tell the group about your first year at university but if you can’t remember that in much detail then your current timetable will do nicely!
