S6 Getting by on a Student Budget Workshop

If you would like to sign up for this workshop please email me on claire.aitchison@ed.ac.uk. The meeting time is 9.30am at the LEAPS office. We can also pick up volunteers en route at Stirling University. Please just let me know when you email if you would like a lift from the LEAPS office, Stirling Uni or whether you would prefer to make your own way there.
As you may have noticed we will be running 2 workshops at Grangemouth High on this date. The S5 workshop will run from 11.00-11.55 and will be followed by the S6 workshop from 11.55-12.55. Please specify if you are able to help with 1st, 2nd or both workshops when you email. Unfortunately we can only offer you a lift to the first workshop and back after the second workshop at 12.55 (arring back at LEAPS HQ around 2.30) but if you are making your own way there you have the choice to take part in 1 or both workshops. For the S5 workshop you will be working with a small group of S5 pupils (15-16 year olds). The pupils have to find out as much as they can about your typical week at university and plot your activities on a weekly planner. They also calculate how many hours you spend on each activity per week. For this exercise it is best if you can tell the group about your first year at university but if you can’t remember that in much detail then your current timetable will do nicely!
