Wednesday 17 March, 1.30-2.35 (6-7 volunteers required)
‘Courses, Qualifications and Careers’ S4 workshop
Tynecastle High School, Edinburgh
If you would like to sign up for this one please email me on claire.aitchison@ed.ac.uk and let me know if you would like transport to the school or if you would prefer to make your own way there.
The meeting time is 1pm at the LEAPS office and you’ll back around 2.55pm.
You may have noticed that we are running 2 sessions one after another at Tynecastle on this day so there is also a later session from 2.35-3.30. If you can spare the time to hang around for the following session that would be really helpful but if you can only do the first one that’s great – please just mention in your email to me if you are signing up for the 1st or 2nd or both sessions. Thanks!
For a summary of the S4 workshop please see below;
This is the fast moving quiz style workshop where you assist a group of S4 pupils (14-15 year olds) with the various rounds of the quiz including the very competitive ‘University Course – true or false’ and the popular ‘spot the student’ round. Your job is to encourage the pupils to discuss the questions and reach agreement as a group. The workshop also often stimulates other questions from pupils related to university life.
Claire and Roy are leading this workshop and so far the following volunteers have signed up for this one;
Catherine C
Kayleigh W
Jennifer H (making own way to school)
Tao C (making own way to school?)
Dharmesh P
