'Courses, Qualifications and Careers' S4 workshop
Wester Hailes Education Centre, Edinburgh
This is the fast moving quiz style workshop where you assist a group of S4 pupils (14-15 year olds) with the various rounds of the quiz including the very competitive ‘University Course – true or false’ and the popular ‘spot the student’ round. Your job is to encourage the pupils to discuss the questions and reach agreement as a group. The workshop also often stimulates other questions from pupils related to university life.
If you are interested in signing up for this workshop please drop me an email claire.aitchison@ed.ac.uk and let me know if you would like transport to the school. The meeting time for this workshop is 1pm at the LEAPS office and we’ll make sure you are dropped back there after the workshop about 3.10ish. If you would rather make your own way there we are happy to meet you at the school office at 1.30 – just let me know please.
Alternatively, if any Heriot Watt volunteers are keen to take part in this workshop we can pick you up en route at Heriot Watt - please just let me know if this would suit you better.
