11 March, S4 workshop, Ross HS, 10.50-11.50

Wednesday 11 March, 10.50-11.50 (this workshop is now full - thanks!)
‘Courses, Qualifications & Careers’ S4 workshop
Ross High School, Tranent, East Lothian

This is the fast moving quiz style workshop where you assist a group of S4 pupils (14-15 year olds) with the various rounds of the quiz including the very competitive ‘University Course – true or false’ and the popular ‘spot the student’ round. Your job is to encourage the pupils to discuss the questions and reach agreement as a group. The workshop also often stimulates other questions from pupils related to university life.

If you are interested in signing up for this workshop please drop James an email mailto:claire.aitchison@ed.ac.uk and let me know if you would like transport to the school. The meeting time for this workshop is 10.00 at the LEAPS office and we’ll make sure you are dropped back there after the workshop about 12.30ish.

We can also pick volunteers up en route at Queen Margaret Uni if this is helpful – just let me know if you would like to take up this option.

If you would rather make your own way there we are happy to meet you at the school office at 10.40 – just let me know.

Claire will be leading this workshop and so far the following volunteers have signed up for this one;

Keir R (added 25 Feb) - picking up at QMU at 10.20/10.25am
Stewart (added 5 March) - making own way to school
Ailsa (added 10 March)
Wale (added 10 March)
